Gelb differs from other firms in a few significant ways:

First, we’ve been around for more than 45 years. That’s quite an accomplishment for a small business founded in Houston, Texas. We believe our longevity stems from our ability to consistently anticipate and meet our clients’ needs. We are client-driven, having expanded our scope of services over our history as the role of the marketing function as evolved.  We value every client relationship which is demonstrated by the length of each.

Second, we have successfully integrated marketing research, marketing strategy, and marketing effectiveness measurement. Most are able to execute one of those, but all not all three. Our teams are configured to work collaboratively to learn about your market and facilitate strategic thinking. With our comprehensive set of skills, you will find us knowledgeable, responsive, and results-oriented.

Third, we remain inquisitive, a tribute to the journalistic training of our founder, Gabe Gelb, who started his career as a reporter and receiving a master’s degree at the University of Missouri School of Journalism.   We are passionate about learning…learning in all forms, but particularly learning about our clients’ organizations and filling information gaps about your industry. This intelligence provides the foundation for all of our assignments. Our strategic recommendations take root because of the teaching and facilitation we provide. 

Fourth, we believe in transferring knowledge to our clients. We don’t use “black-box” processes. Instead, we publish white papers, write articles and deliver conference presentations to impart best practices to those interested. At the end of the day, we want our clients to understand and believe in what they can accomplish – we ensure you are part of the process as you will play a leadership role in implementation.
