John Elmer is CEO of Gelb Consulting  and G2M Partners, a Gelb venture that provides Chief Marketing Officer services and a complete Go-To-Market solution for generating revenue to emerging growth companies in the oilfield service, energy and technology industries.

John currently manages revenue generation as Chief Marketing Officer of S2S Systems International, Inc., a rapidly growing reservoir modeling software and services firm serving the oil and gas industry.

Prior to S2S Systems, John managed revenue generation as CMO of Ingrain, the first commercial digital rock physics lab to serve the global oil and gas industry. Ingrain remains a client of G2M Partners.

John joined Gelb Consulting in 1984. He is a recognized expert in marketing strategy and new product development and has deep experience in the oilfield service industry. In 1999, John acquired Gelb Consulting Group from its founder, Gabriel M. Gelb, who started the firm in 1965. John has received professional certification as a management consultant (CMC) and in new product development (NPDP). John earned his M.B.A. in marketing from the University of Houston in 1984, and received a B.A. with honors in psychology from the University of Texas in 1980. John was an adjunct faculty member at the University of Houston College of Business Administration from 1989 to 1993.
